Information We Access

When you connect your Google or YouTube account, TrendScout may access Google/YouTube channel data needed to identify your channel, OAuth tokens needed to upload on your request, and content you create or select inside the app such as videos, thumbnails, captions, titles, descriptions, tags, hashtags, and scheduling settings.

TrendScout does not ask for or store your Google password.

How We Use Information

TrendScout uses Google/YouTube information only to perform actions you request, including uploading a video, applying metadata, setting a thumbnail, adding captions, and scheduling publication. We do not use Google API data for ads, profiling, or unrelated analytics.

Local Storage

TrendScout is designed as a local desktop app. OAuth tokens are stored securely in Windows Credential Manager. Project data, generated content, queue state, metadata, and related settings are stored locally on your device. TrendScout does not operate a central server that stores your OAuth tokens or user content.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your Google/YouTube data with third parties. Data is sent to Google/YouTube only as needed to complete the upload, metadata, thumbnail, caption, or scheduling action you request.

Limited Use Disclosure

TrendScout's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because TrendScout stores app data locally, you can delete generated files, cached data, and project data from your device. You can disconnect your YouTube account in the app settings, and you can revoke Google access at any time from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Children's Privacy

TrendScout is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
